If you look closely, you can actually see that yes, it is a dragon holding a 'gem'. I made this graph after much trial and error, and ended up folding the neck so the head was near the 'gem', and folding the tail up so it wouldnt dangle. I just recently came across a web site with a much better dragon pattern, so if I make another of these, I'll use the other pattern I found, not mine.
