January 2006
These are made from paperclay, not polymer clay, but they're still
clay, so here they are. The 2 kinds of clay I used were Creative Paperclay
and Makin's Clay. Makin's dries like porcelain, so I used that as the flowers,
etc. I prefer the white, then painted it mostly with washes. These
were Christmas gifts for 2005. Sorry the images are so small, but I made
a lot of them and didn't want to use up all my space with these photos.
I made these as vases, in 4 styles. One style hangs on the wall with a
wire imbedded in the clay. The other hangs on the wall from a hole in the
back, the 3rd style stands alone, and the 4th style has a base that comes
off the vase section. I used a plastic liner for all of these large vases,
so real flowers can be put in them.

Bud vases. Some have several views to them. The inserts for real flowers
to be used are glass test tubes in several sizes. In some, I put a coiled
piece of wire with a handle and loop at the top so that the test tube could
be pulled out easily.
