I bought this pin, on the far left, in Milwaukee in 1986. I paid under
$12 for it, and I think the actual price was $6. The other 2 images I found
in a book on Aztecs. The image on my pin is so similar, I'm wondering if
it was made by an artist using memory to design it. The image on the pin
is flipped from the images in the other 2, and the image on the pin has
an 'eye', where the other 2 don't. The color plate of the shield shows
the image in a different 'direction' than the middle image. I wear the
pin a lot, even tho the metal seems to be very 'soft' and the hooks on
the hanging feathers want to keep opening on their own. I don't want to
loose any part of the pin, so I don't wear it very often. One time that
I had it on, a Native American woman made the comment 'Nice badge'.
There are no markings on the back of the pin at all.
