Materials
K hook
Balls of Fun Fur yarn: 5 balls white [MC]
3 balls black [CC]
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Note: ch 1, turn at end of each row unless otherwise stated. Work as seamlessly as you can, being careful not to pull too tight. Use the tapestry needle to pull out the threads after you've sewn the seams.

Scarf - make 2
Ch 16. Turn, sc in second ch from hook, sc across. 15 sc.
Work to 19". [60 rows]
First increase row: 2 sc in first st, sc across.
Second increase row: sc across to last st, 2 sc in last st.
Last increase row: 2 sc in first st, sc across. [18 sc] Tie off.
{make as long as you want the scarf to be; these are the lengths I
wanted mine}
Hood
Using MC yarn:
Lay both scarf parts on work table, with increase rows to the outside,
right sides facing. Attach yarn to front thread on first st of scarf on
the right, sc in front threads across [18 sc]; ch 15 [or as many as will
fit across the back of the neck without binding]; sc in front threads across
ea st of other scarf [18 sc]. All other rows will be worked in full st.
R1: Inc 1 st at beginning of row, sc across ea st and chain, inc 1
st at end of row.
R2: Work across to where the first scarf ends, just before the chained
portion; inc 1 st, work over to other scarf, inc 1 st, work across to end.
R3: Inc at same place on back of hood, working sc in all other sts.
R4: work even.
R5: Inc at same back increases.
R6: work even.
R7: Inc at same back increases.
R8-14: work even.
R15: Increase at back increases.
R16: work even.
R17: Increase at back increases.
R18: work even.
R19: Increase at back increases.
R20: work even.
R21: Increase at back increases.
R22-38: work even.
Work as many rows as you need to, so that the hood will cover the top
of the head when sewn together.
Attach CC yarn to unworked st on inside of hood. Follow the same increases as for the MC hood instructions, working the first row only in unworked threads of the scarf sections, and working in the back loop of the chain between scarf sections. All other rows are worked in both loops of each stitch. When you get to the last row, tie off.
Finishing
Sew the top seam of both hood parts, making sure the seam is on the
inside of each, so the seam wont show when you turn it inside out [the
part you sew is at the top of the diagram, above]. Use the tapestry needle
to 'comb' the yarn back out onto the seams when done. Hold both sections
together, and using the yarn color of your choice, work around the edge
of the hood in sc. You can sc a row down the fronts of each scarf if you
would rather not work just the hood. Work as many rows as you want. To
give a bigger edge to the front of the hood, you can work several rows,
then fold in half and sew the last row to the first row. On the hood shown,
I used one strand of both colors and worked 1 row along the fronts of the
hood sections, working thru both at the same time. At the end of that row,
I used just one strand of CC color to work along the back loops of the
first row. I then worked 1 more row in the same color, then tied off. I
worked the other CC color in the remaining loops of the first row with
one strand, working 2 rows, then tied it off. I cliped the ends about 1"
from where they were tied off.
